4 out of 5 stars Nice Basic Tent   August 31, 2010

This is a nice basic tent that sets up in minutes. It easily sleeps 2 with a queen sized air mattress, but there was not room for much else. It worked great for what we needed it for, but I would recommend purchasing heavier duty stakes than what comes with the tent. The ground we were on was kind of hard and all the stakes bent. Overall this is a good tent for 2 people that do not do a lot of camping. If you are looking for a tent with lots of features and room this is not the one.

5 out of 5 stars Good tent for the price!   August 17, 2010

I bought this tent a few weeks ago with the intention of going camping. I generally camp with a backpacking tent, so this tent made good sense to me as a purchase for a two person casual camping tent.

The tent is well constructed, the materials, especially the bottom seem to be stable, and it's well put together. The tent is well ventilated, it was about 80 degrees out the night we went camping and the tent stayed pretty cool with all of the vents opened and without the rain fly. The tent was really easy to put up and took me about 2 minutes to assemble, the poless snap on to the tent and go into each corner.

The tent has plenty of room for two people and two frame-packs or medium sized duffel bags. We were able to sleep comfortably in it without ending up laying in our gear. The built-in pockets in the tent were also a huge plus (although most tents have these), great for holding flash lights, glasses, whatever.

5 out of 5 stars Of course it's great, it's a Coleman.   August 10, 2010

I've never been disappointed with a Coleman product before and this is no exception. Although I don't consider this to be a 3 person tent (unless those 3 are kids) but, it had plenty of room for 2 TALL adults. You can't stand up inside this model so dressing is kind of a challenge. It has plenty of room for a queen sized air mattress with room left over to store your gear. Love how well ventilated this tent is.

Went on a 3 day flaot trip with this tent. When I purchased it I was originally looking for a tent with a built-in frame like the old Gretland tents Target used to sell. I was sure they'd be readily available these days they are WAY easier and quicker to set up than tents with the sectional poles filled with elastic cord. But...much to my surprise...they are impossible to find. As I was in a bind and needa tent quick I went with this Coleman.

On the trip I set up 3 tents, all about the same size, and my new Coleman was by far the easiest to put up and take down. The poles slide in easier than most tents becasue the holes they slide in to are bigger and the material making tup the holes minimal. If you're not very experienced with tent camping, or you haven't owned many tents, this doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is. The tent also utilizes velcro in key places to secure the poles instead of the little straps of nylon like other tents that needs to be tied. Two more key features I like about theis tent are 1) Lots of venelation and 2) It does not need to be steaked down or utilize any ropes. It does come with 2 ropes attached to the fly, but they are not absolutely neccessary.

The tent is 7' X 7' and we slept 2 big guys in it - both 6' 3" - comfortably, along with a good amount of gear.
